Kris and I have a long history of moviemaking... (details) Kris and I both directed pieces of MOSS, which was necessary because it was fairly often one of us was on-screen. Kris also helped out editing some of the more complex sequences which had to be done digitally. Both of us choose the restaurant scene as our favorite, because we know all the little insider stuff that went into it: background discussions, hidden messages, extra little details in the transitions, hard-to-catch inconsistancies, that sort of thing. Much of MOSS was shot in Kris's basement, so by the end of the summer we'd completely redone the lighting and acoustics of the palce many times over. Unfortunately he gets more channels than any of the rest of us so lots of time was wasted prying the crew away from the tube.

LICHEN uses Kris's basement a tad, but not nearly as extensively as did MOSS. Kris and I did a great deal of story work for LICHEN and he's very involved with the project, down to making props and scouting locations, as well as co-directing.
